Situated @ Verve Shop, La Casa is always busy for a reason. The cement floor, red brick wall, wooden table top and hanging greenery all combine to emit natural and peaceful vibes, while the space between tables is large enough that your neighbors won’t be able to overhear your gossiping.

My order of iced mocha and flat white were decent. Not a coffee buff and want to try something light? La Casa offers a wide varieties of beverages choices such as smoothies, soda, fruit juices and beers.

La Casa’s menu focuses on Western and Italian dishes with Asian specials that can be requested by diners. We started our late lunch with Baked Brie with Lemon and Honey. The warm-gooey-cheesy-goodness is so comforting! Best eaten with the crisp sliced breads.

My order of Turkey Chorizo, Camembert, Honey on Sour Dough was spot on! On top of the crispy bread is yellow melted cheese, tender chorus and basil drizzled with honey. Sweet honey and fresh flavor of the cheese is combined with the condimented flavor of the chorizo – such as winning combination!

We could not find fault with La Casa’s version of duck confit served with sauteed potatoes & apple orange salad either. It was crispy, tender and flavorful – all things a good duck confit should be, in my opinion.

Napolita Pizza (regular, RM 23). I love having classic pizza with thin crust like this! The topping here, with tomatoes, mozzarella, anchovies and olives, is a good classic example from Naples.

Service here is timely, thoughtful and hearty (look out for the most senior wait staff here, he’s really good!). Add that to the guaranteed-fresh coffee and honest home-cooked food, and we are sure that you will like La Casa as much as we do too!
